Often times it is as informative (and perhaps even easier!) to watch a video taken from the event as it is to read a thousand-word essay. The Midwest Gaming Classic is fortunate enough to have been covered by several gifted amateur & professional cameramen over its ten-plus year history.
An increasing number of those videos are covered within these three sections:
2001-2003: The first three years of the Midwest Gaming Classic were all very similar – meeting in similar spaces, covering much the same content and even predating many of the current mainstays such as guest speakers, an arcade room, or even much of a playable museum for that matter.
2004-2009: Again, the Midwest Gaming Classic shared many of the same characteristics during this period including the advent of a larger pinball & video arcade area, an impressive vendor area, guest speakers, and a playable console & classic computing museum. Nearly every show in this period was held in the Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc, WI.
2010-Present: This represents the “current” era of the Midwest Gaming Classic in the Brookfield Sheraton Hotel. This era brought about the maturation of many existing areas like the museum, as well as introducing several new areas including the popular Community Hall and growing tabletop war game area.
